Can this be related to keepalive settings?
Do you have a keepalive line in your tunnel configuration? If you don't then it
means it's defaultly set to 10 seconds, try to put no keepalive

I remember taking the whole core traffic down on a switch when trying a
deliberate and wrong use of ip local policy route-map due to lack of
experience and understanding. (sh*t happens)
So my suggestion is to do it carefully and understanding what exactly are you
trying to do... :-)
Anyone heard anything on PPPoA on the ASR 1000 series yet?
As far as i know it isn't supported (yet?) but i might be wrong :)
PPPoA would make it a superb replacement for our 720X series
We've been told it won't happen at least any time soon and to go with
10k as an upgrade path...

Hi,
Is it possible to extend two vDCs between Data Centres using OTV (pair
of N7k on each site) - it's not clear how OTV uses vDCs to extend the
L2 domain.
Also, is it correct that Unicast-only transport support (and hence the
use of an Adjacency Server) is not supported initially (looking at
Hi James,
we are running wccp and when we configured squid to L2 Mask cpu
load returns to normal ~ 10%
Thank you!

The other side stays up.
That's not overly surprising as there is no signalling protocol on a GRE

There are no default keepalives on GRE

yes, its possible. there are 3 methods:
1. OTV runs inside a Virtual Device Context.

Ok, here's the config for one of the two routers - they have the same basic
HSRP config so if one is wrong, so is the other. Remember, the other end of
the tunnel is NOT exhibiting the problem at all.

Howdy,
This isn't exactly cisco-centric, but it's certainly related

Has anyone seen any actual (real network) performance stats on Arista's 7500

lookslike a good switch. But I haven't read too much articles neither the

I have found this document comparing switches manufacturers:
