Hi,
do we need a licence for nV Edge functionality for RSP 440 and MOD80 LC?

To get IPV6 to work, you need to load the correct SDM template and reload
the switches.
Then you need to enable ipv6 unicast-routing on all devices.
There is no anything else apart from configuring IPV6 addresses that you
need to do, if all you want to do is to ping.
You should be able to
I am just as dense.
Why would you need to load the SDM template if you only want the switch to
provide L2 connectivity?

Hi,
my router has 2 BGP sessions with the same IPv4 neighbor A.B.C.D.: one
session under address-family IPv4, one session under address-family IPv6.
Is there any reason for the router to clear both sessions if I only
issue clear bgp ipv6 unicast A.B.C.D ?
Just the IPv6 session is supposed to be

For GLBP...please let me know if you find the answer.
Yep, unfortunately the ME platform doesn't support IPv6 with

Won't work, even on those platforms that actually *do* support HSRP
for IPv4 *and* for IPv6 *and* at the same time.
Makes me wonder why I

Yep, within the same group number the error is ipv4 already configured
for this group.

My experience with Cisco IPv6 is limited but I believe you can't even
configure a v6 address until you have the IPv6 SDM template loaded.

You don't need to have an IPv6 address on an L2 switch, to L2 switch

I have a query on IP FRR , Based on RFC 5286 for link protection if my topology

the destination considered as backup path ??
Are both inequality 1 inequality 2 are mandatory to meet the link protection

So how would you clear only half of the TCP session?
no doubt, agree
I have to admit I'm not sure what it will do if you have multiple AFIs on one
session - whether it
will soft-clear all AFIs or just IPv6 then.

Yep, we do this now and it works up to his limitations. But we would
prefer the use of an FHRP that support both IP versions with
(nearly) identical configuration and tuning options.
