If its 4500/4900 you can use Per-Port Per-VLAN QoS

We saw similar problem and we solve it by doing etherchannel on the output

Do you talk about ASR-1002x or ASR1002 ?
Take a look on this page (Cisco didn't update it with new models for a long
time )
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr1000/configuration/guide/chassis/asrswcfg/scaling.html
The 1002 is limited to 12K
We didnt test the 1002-x but on a 1004 with
Take a look at the csr1000v
in the latest releases it support BNG and if the total traffic is less then

Why not virtual router ?
You only need a standard server and a licence
This way you can start at lower rates and upgrade later but stay with
modern platform
In cisco you can take CSR1000v ( up to 10G ) or XRv (not sure about
performance )
and in Juniper vMX (up to 40G )

Hank,
I have just fight with it last week on NCS540
It has a bug which prevent it from working over VRF
If it is not your case (It might be relevant to NCS only ) and DNS is
