Can I upgrade from CallManager 8.6 to BE6000 running CallManager 9.1?
I don't think I can do a DRS restore on BE6000 of their old CallManager 8.6?
Can I ? Is that supported?
I'm thinking I can use Bulk Administration Export to move a lot of existing
data from 8.6 to 9.1.
BE6000 is just regular CUCM so DRS Backup/Restore should work fine. BE5000
is where you need to Export/Import data via BAT.

Why is this? I believe this was to replace that registry setting for direct
transfers, but when we set it, it is not staying. Am I missing something?
Very annoying.

What specific data are you looking for? The newer phones have dropped MOS and
Q-Factor subjective ratings in lieu of concealed seconds and severely concealed
seconds.
You won't see any raw MOS values reported by newer phones.

The only data I see in the CMR are the IP addresses of the endpoints and
the payloadcapability. All the packets sent/received, jitter, latency,
etc values are always just 'null'.
Sample below.

Does anyone have a version of Unity Connection up and running (8.6, 9.0, 9.1,

Mac OS X v10.9 Mavericks Mail.app clients? the older version of TLS found in
v8.03 of unity connection prevents newer apple devices from

DRS backup and restore is to/from the same version. So unless you upgrade
the CUCM 8.6 to 9.1 first, you cannot use DRS. If you did however upgrade
the CUCM 8.6 to 9.1 then you can.
The BE6K is more of a marketing promotional bundle thing than it is really
a hardware or software thing.

FYI, The latest 9971 firmware still has this delay problem with 9.4.1

I bet it doesn't... I don't control the computers for this client. Users just
need read/write on the HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Arc Solutions\Call Connect

Yes, the CUCM software bundled with the BE6k is the same software as in
standalone CUCM. The deployment type is CUCM in both cases.
