[cisco-voip] Deploy IP communicator in a software package

2017-09-07 Thread Aaron Banks
I'm curious to know if anyone has deployed IP communicator en masse? If so how
did you deploy it to users who *likely* did not have admin rights on their
machines? How were the user settings configured? (user or administrator?)

Many thanks

The information you're looking for is included in the Readme file for the
build, near the bottom. If you go to download from the Cisco site, hover over
the build in question and click CUCM Readme. Here are the links for convenience:

Which has a combination of "Native" and device packs listed.

Is there not a document that lists the default firmware included natively in

Re: [cisco-voip] Voicemail history

2017-09-07 Thread Scott Voll
to dove tail off this we found that if we integrated with outlook, we
were then under retention laws for email but if we left the vm on UC
the retention law was much different.

We just (april) enabled our 30 day retention policy for any heard messages.
if they are marked unread they can keep them however long they want.

Re: [cisco-voip] OT: Add move change

2017-09-07 Thread Scott Voll
What is out there?

I need an app that user can log into(security person in the building). Say
that user A needs to change extension from 3456 to 7890. Zero out of VM
changes from 1234 to 4567. user needs to be a part of hunt group xyz. or
new user Z needs to have a softphone created. or user needs to be able to
record.

This information needs to also tie into our AD to populate the information.

now if they program can also do the tasks, even better.

I was just wondering what other companies use. We just tend to have a lot
of movement around the company.

TIA

Scott
