[cisco-voip] Federate with Google

2016-10-12 Thread Michael Voity
Hello,

Is there a trick to getting Jabber through VCS to federate with google?

I verified that Security mode is "TLS optional" client side Cert is "off"
and privacy mode is "off" too on my vcs-e serer

I have no issue federating with others.

[cisco-voip] Upgrade from 10.5.2 ->11.5.1

2016-10-06 Thread Michael Voity
Hello,

This weekend I am going to be upgrading our CUCM, CUC and CUPS cluster from
10.5.2 to 11.5.1.

I will be using PCD to execute and switch the upgrade.Upgrade will be
applied Friday, and Sunday the switch will happen.

I have read the doc:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/upgrade/11_5_1/cucm_
b_upgrade-guide-cucm-115.html

It seems pretty straight forward.

My question to the group is, are there any issues I should be concerned
about or is there something the doc missed that I need to do?

As always, thanks for reading.

Here is what the section in the jabber-config.xml looks like, assuming I have
nothing else in this file (which I do, I just didn't share all of it):

http://internal.company.com/jabber/updates/jabber-update.xml

Here is what the whole jabber-update.xml looks like, which I'm hosting on an
internal web server:

  42920

  11.7.0

  false

http://internal.company.com/jabber/updates/latest/CiscoJabberSetup.msi

Here is a screenshot of what the update looks like, or at least a preview of it:

I download the updates myself from cisco.com <http://cisco.com> , and I get the
build number from within the read-me after extracting the files. I make the
changes to the jabber-update.xml to reflect the what's new and the link to the
release notes, and then finally I put the MSI in the latest folder, while
moving the previous version to a versioned out folder structure for redundancy
purposes, because I like duplicating all of the files on cisco.com
<http://cisco.com> on my local server. Just kidding, I trash the old file and
only keep the latest.

BFCP is only needed if escalating a video call to screen-sharing. Regular
screen sharing from the Jabber client while not on a call shouldn't use it.

I'd suggest getting a problem report and packet capture from the 2 clients
doing these tasks to get a better idea if there are any network connectivity
issues.

Hello,

I have 1 7962 (67522) that has 2 BLF buttons on it for 2 other phones, 7962 &
7942 phones, (67520 and 67521). The BLF works fine for when i see them off

In the BLF config I clicked "Call Pickup"

On my 7962 (67522) the amber light flashes when the other phone is ringing .
I press the flashing amber button (67520) and I get a fast busy and on the

I have made sure the lines and phones subscribe-css is correct in all the right
places. I am scratching my head

I have stalked around google and the cisco forums and can not figure it out

I did see a post out there that mentions that I need to configure a "Call

Ideas?
