I have googled but not found any article that explains what the directory
clamav-partial is doing in /tmp
the list archive search reviles i can delete it after 24 hours or re-compile
but i am using rpm's and yum i cannot re-comp.
so do i just delete the directory or do i have an underling

If you delete it you leave yourself open to viruses using RFC1341.

I am not aware of any viruses which currently use RFC1341, but it is
important to try to be ahead of virus writers.
