Hey group,
Was curious if there is a website the shows a chart of which companies, and clam, rate
in terms of updating their Virus Definitions. I need to put some documentation
together for my director. Thanks!

As you can see the multilog file is there, with zero size. The service is
running, but not doing a thing!
[EMAIL PROTECTED] init.d]# service clamdctl stat
/service/clamd: up (pid 1258) 265702 seconds
/service/clamd/log: up (pid 1259) 265702 seconds
in your case, your clamdctl script must be OK
Has anyone gotten Clamd to run with daemontools? I have a clamd running supervised,
but the log file will not supervise correctly. I have /service/clamd/log with:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] spamd]# cd /service/clamd/log/
[EMAIL PROTECTED] log]# ls -l
total 4
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root qmail 101 Apr 6
When starting clamd, I am getting errors in my /var/log/clamav.log.
+++ Started at Mon Sep 22 07:11:48 2003
Log file size limited to 1048576 bytes.
Running as user qmailq (UID 1006, GID 1003)

ERROR: bind() error:
is it just a directory that the clamd daemon writes to? or is it a file?

I keep receiving the following error in my SMTP server regarding clamd. I am running
qmail + qmail-scanner + spamassassin + clamav. Thanks!
clam_scanner: corrupt or unknown clamd scanner error or memory/resource/perms problem

Any ideas? thanks!

My /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run file is as follows:
QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl export QMAILQUEUE
exec /usr/local/bin/softlimit -m 2000 /usr/local/bin/tcpserver -v -R -H -l 0 -x
/etc/tcp.smtp.cdb -u $QMAILDUID -g $NOFILESGID 0 25 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd
