suppose to be. I have checked and freshclam works via cron normally and
updates are done also.

I don't have init script for clamd nor for clamav-milter.
Is there something in the configure to add to create those scripts?

Thank you for the answer.
This is the way that I am starting it now but in the docs it is specified
to start milter and clamd before sendmail and rc.local is started at the end.
Anyone with the knowledge of sysv style startup (redhat)?
