I saw this myself last week, so downloaded the new sources and built -> installed them myself. Ok, try
make clean
To cleanup the build first.
What sort of OS are you on? You may have said but I can’t remember.
So, delete the current directory you have it in and make sure you are
downloading the correct sources.

Ensure your environment points to your compiler. and libraries etc.

Ok, thanks. So UPDATE and SUCCESS actually are much the same. But in this case, the service is interpreting it as a non-zero return code and saying “I don’t know what this means, but I’ll assume its an error” I suppose I could change it and recompile, but now I know what it is, I’ll leave it.
