Hi Bijay,

ClamAV does not presently have the feature to create and start Windows 
Services.  There is a derivative project called clamav-win32 made by Gianluigi 
Tiesi which does provide this feature: https://github.com/clamwin/clamav-win32

We've relatively recently received Gianluigi's blessing to incorporate features 
from clamav-win32 into the main ClamAV project, to include support for starting 
clamd as a Windows Service.  This isn't one of the tasks we've prioritized for 
0.103 dev though, so it's unlikely that you'll see it in ClamAV this year.

The document to which you linked in your reply gives more than one
procedure.  In my request for better information, I used the word
'exactly' six times.

Please give enough detail so that people on this list, who read your
messages but know nothing about your situation except what you write,
have the best chance of being able to help you.

If you are unable to tell us exactly what you did, perhaps you should
completely remove all the ClamAV software, then start again, but this
time make notes of everything that you do in your diary or workbook,
so that afterwards you will know what you have done, and can tell us.

Is your server software still supported?  Mainstream support for
Windows Server 2012 R2 ceased in September 2018:

On a Win 10 machine:

1) Click START

2) Scroll down to  and click on "Windows Administrative Tools

3) Click on "Component Services"

4) Expand "Services"

If the service is installed, even if not running, it will be listed
there. If it is listed, double click it and change "Startup Type" to
'Automatic'. Click on "Recovery 'on the top of the window you just
opened and make sure "Restart the Service" is the procedure to take if a
failure in the service occurs.

Some ways to check that you can make connections to it are given in the 
stackoverflow page to which you linked.  Have you tried them?

If the service is running but you cannot connect to it, you need to
(1) make sure that it is listening in the way that you think it is configured 
to listen, and (1a) make sure the nothing _else_ on the same machine is trying 
to listen in the same way; (2) make sure that you're trying to connect to it 
the way you think you're trying to connect to it; and finally (3) make sure 
that there is nothing on the machine which hosts clamd which is actively 
blocking connections, such as a local firewall (which is very common on Windows 
boxes, as a quick test you can simply disable the firewall completely but BE 
CAREFUL if you do that).

You should be able to connect to the daemon manually from a command line 
prompt.  Search for PING in the _ClamAV_ documentation (this is not the same as 
the 'ping' utility commonly used to quickly check a network route is alive; 
PING is described in the clamd 'man' page).

Here's what happens when I send 'PING' to a clamd daemon here at my place of 
work:

After installing clamAV ,I see we need to run clamd.exe which will create a 
windows service .But in my case it's not happening and I am unable to connect 
scan an image file from my .net application.
.net code used to connect :
  var clam = new ClamClient(Imageserver, 3310);
  Task scanResult = clam.ScanFileOnServerAsync(FullPath);
When I tried to send an image I am getting an exception here .
"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused 
it"
Don't know which part is missing here. Hoping to get some help.
