I have generally only seen the getDomRVersionCmd fail followed by
stopping the vm if it can't ssh into the system VM to run the command.
I am sure this is a general symptom of failing to set up or
communicate with the virtual router rather than an actual issue
related to getting the domr version.
By the way, KVM doesn't lack GetDomRVersionCmd. It's in
core/src/com/cloud/agent/resource/virtualnetwork/VirtualRoutingResource.java,
and it calls getDomRVersion, which runs router_proxy.sh (a script on
the host that will SSH into the router VM) to call
get_template_version.sh within the router.

In CloudStack, stop means to power off the VM (with a force optional),
destroy means to delete the VM.
It's sort of confusing, because 'destroy' tends to mean 'force shut

that would cause annoyance, at least IMHO...

Same opinion here - at best distracting - at worst I fear we'll get
bugs filed because it still shows the 'action' buttons, but per the
description it would disappear before you navigated to them, and would
never be clickable.

Hello John,
This was more of a ux addition. It's similar in how you get a preview thumbnail
in the taskbar in windows 7 when you rollover an item; but for individual
panels. There is a timeout period that should avoid instant popups and
annoyance.
Thanks You and Best Regards,

I don't see how we can ship without the RPM install docs posted. Once you
build the RPMs I haven't found anything posted that tells you what to do.
Seems like many developers and all non-developers will fail at the install. Am

Jessica,
I think you misinterpreted me (which might be my fault). IMO, we
absolutely need the documentation to be posted to the site as part of
the rollout of 4.0.0-incubating. In fact, I started a thread about
this previously [1]. This includes most of the issues that David
mentioned below.

Thanks for the feedback all.
-We can rework the name to make more sense, perhaps panel preview.
-I like the glass effect too.
-We will investigate this more in terms of being able to select items from the
preview. For now this is to help with usability in the manner that Jessica
mentioned.

OK - so in reading through this thread, I believe we are in a position
where we will need to restart the vote again. We are aborting this
vote.
I will package up another RC, and start a third round of voting this
evening or tomorrow morning (depending on how my schedule works out).

To an ordinary user, there is no concept of a hypervisor: the only VM
state machine she interacts with is CloudStack's.
