I was put on an antidepressant about the same time I started the
Gleevec. I was told that the only antidepressant I could take was
Wellbutrin. The SSRI's are not a safe choice. Also, Wellbutrin does
not cause sexual side effects common with SSRI's.

In my opinion the best option is not take any antidepressant. But if you
need to, it seems that only wellbutrin has no interaction with gleevec.
You should talk to your doc.

My antidepressant is Effexor, not for depression, but to assist with the side effects of menopause. My hematologist said no Tylenol due to its ability to interfere with the Gleevac's job. He prescribed Salsilate for headaches, minor aches pains.
