Has anyone on Gleevec experienced acid reflux as a side effect? I've been on
Gleevec over 3 1/2 years but this new phenomenon started in the last two weeks
and I don't know what else to attribute it to.
If anyone has this, can you share what, if anything, you take. Also, does it go
away like
I cannot remember NOT having acid reflux. My Dr. prescribed Pantoprazole and
one pill a day takes care of the acid reflux.
In all fairness, I cannot attribute it to Gleevec. Stress plays an important
role, as well as food choices

Mercifully I'm not on Gleevec anymore but it would an understatement to call
what I got from time-to-time acid reflux. For me it was mostly what I ate. Many
CML'ers have identified tomatoes as a big no-no with Gleevec. I also found I
couldn't eat, take Gleevec and immediately lie
I use Humana PPO and Medicare. The Social Security.(using the smallest per
cent) cost of living increase will cover the increases in my Health Care.
I received information from S.S., Humana, and Medicare about the 1st of
October. Please remenber the any decision to change insurance coverage
My acid reflux was diagnosised as Barett's Esophagus and I take
Omeprazole. I had high stress and anxity for years before I was
diagnosed. The Cml only increased my stress levels. I am sure that
Gleevec had a part because of drug combination increasing toxic levels in
my system.
