The 39 is a big 35 and the stern is kind of narrow. It is not ideal for davits, I just tow my dinghy. My dinghy has a 6 gallon tank and sometimes I have a 5 gallon jug in there too. That is plenty of dinghy gas without carrying more jugs on deck. I would not try and make an inboard diesel

I have a 6 gallon outboard tank bungee corded to the floor under the center seat. I discovered that if you don’t tie it down, a heavy rainstorm can fill the dinghy to the point the tank floats and gets capsized by the hose pulling on it. Makes a big mess when water gets in the vent and gas

Oh no, I would not recommend to tow the dinghy with an outboard on, especially in any seaway. It increases the center of gravity, and a 4 ft wave at the right time and angle may be enough to flip it. Then you will have a much harder time to right it, and probably junk the engine. Secondary issue
