We use Altair atmospheric monitors to detect bad air in confined spaces where I work. The CO sensor is identified as being cross sensitive by the manufacturer and we've seen this occur during use. In fact we have been able to detect hydrogen leaks from compressed gas systems using this method.

It's mounted high on the aft bulkhead just behind the aft cabin… I presume they put it high like that so the fuel line would be below the tank. With the fuel pump there's no need to gravity feed. It almost interferes with the rudder cables and auto pilot so placing the duct lines is tricky.
