I’m out in Puget Sound and have a C 34+, hull # ZCC34+39C090, deep keel, named Xanax (previous owner was a psychologist). Not sure if that means I have hull #39 or 90. I’m thinking hull #39 in 1990? After having a C 34, hull # 264 for 35 years, we bought the 34+ 7 years ago and enjoy the boat

Had the exact same problem. It ended up being my secondary fuel filter at the engine loosened. I didn't take any chances, so I changed the filter along with the o-rings tightened it back up, and voila! /John > On Jun 9, 2023, at 10:22 AM, David Knecht via CnC-List > wrote: > > I am out for

If you have been keeping up with your filter changes (primary, secondary, Racor, etc.) and the boat is used regularly, my bet is on an air leak somewhere in the fuel system, perhaps generated by changing your filters. An overtightened Racor can deform the lid and allow air in and any change in

I once had a similar engine issue. It would run fine one day (or half) and constant stall upon or shortly after restarts. It turned out that my Racor was not full tightened. Easy fix once found. - Paul E. 1981 C Landfall 38 S/V Johanna Rose Fort Walton Beach, FL

If you have a gas engine, there might be a filter at the end of the pickup tube (in the tank). Pull the tube and check to see if it's clogged. My previous boat had an Atomic Foiur engine. After many years, it would run in idle, but not at speed. When I pulled the tube, there was a filter that was

David, My thinking is it’s not water, as once it stopped, it probably wouldn’t start again until it was cleaned out. Nevertheless, check the filter and bleed the injectors if needed. It could be air, so try your bleed points and get the bubbles out. As someone mentioned, there could be some

If this is the first time, there is a possibility there is water in the fuel due to condensation forming over the winter. Pull the Racor filter and check for water. If so, drain as much as you can, then dump some fuel treatment into the tank and run the engine for an hour or so. Should be
