Offshore Drilling Set To Begin Off Florida Alarms Environmentalists
The drilling is scheduled to start this month in waters off the Bahamas, just
150 miles from the Florida coast.
I have owned and sailed my 1978 34' for the past 5 seasons and she was not what
I was looking for originally, I was looking at the 35's. Skywalker was a bit
unique in that she was built for a fellow who raced her in the UK so she is a
bit of a "winch farm" as I have had some admirers refer to
Just one more Emergency Tiller post :)
My 1979 34" is a Tiller boat, and it came with an Emergency Tiller :)

Hi Gang!
Thanks for all the suggestions and I have passed them on to my good friend, I
also think the CCA guide is adequate.
He is a lucky dog being able to go for a long trip North, I am still slogging
it out at work for another 10 years so I can only pull off nice long weekends :)
Fortunate to
Ok Gang, asking for a friend who plans on sailing north and invading your
Canadian Coastline this Summer.
What is a good Cruising Guide Source for Nova Scotia etc? there are a couple on
Amazon (one put out by CCA) but he tells me they are terrible.
Any suggestions? Sadly he has an Albin Trawler
I never plugged the exhaust in any boat I ever had here in the Northeast...
For the Cabin I get a 3-pack of the Damp-rid hanging bags from the hardware
store and hang one in the forward cabin, one in the main and one in the back by
the Nav table.
I change the bags about 3 times per winter, this
Pretty sure I got my Delrin stock from McMaster, then I made my own washers.

*The PO of my boat had 2 thick coats of Interdeck (interlux) poured over the
entire deck of the boat rail to rail.
While it looked uniform and safe to walk on it seemed to be chalky. It seemed
as if it was not holding up well in the Sun and was deteriorating faster than
anything I had seen.
Passing of a very good man.

Good Morning Men,
In the early 80's I was crew on a large commercial fishing boat with twin 3408
CATS. We had a coolant leak we could not find for love nor money.
This old CAT mechanic came to the boat finally and showed us the trick to
visually finding coolant leaks.
He made us turn

All my other sails are perfect, except the main sail. I need to take that down
for the winter and have it surved and cleaned also.
We are looking at snow in 10 days.
