I applied 3M Scotchcal striping tape for Touche's (1971 35-1) cove stripe after repainting. Specifically 5/8 inch gold metallic, 3M 73403. It fits the cove stripe depression very well. Here's a pic: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_sb5TfIENvsckJWcWNldEFydjg/view?usp=sharing Dennis C. Touche'

I did mine in 2012 and it still looks new.   I still have the leftover and just checked. I ordered 3/4 inch. It fit perfectly because it curves in to the groove.  I looked and the place is still in business.  Vinalstriping.com.  $34 for a 150 foot roll.  For the stars, they sell 14 inch wide by

I removed the old tape with a 3M Stripe Off wheel and used 3M 5/8 gold tape. I did not add the star. Looks good. Dennis C. Touche' 35-1 #83 Mandeville, LA On Sun, Apr 8, 2018 at 1:49 PM, David Knecht via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > I am considering redoing the cove stripe on my

I have a C&C 99 and just measured mine. 1/2” will work best if I use 5/8” the edges will protrude out of the mounded cove and it will be much more difficult to line up. Since the edges may be out of cove the edges may wear out quickly. Rod Sent from my iPhone > On Apr 8, 2018, at 3:49 PM, Da

I am considering redoing the cove stripe on my boat as it is pretty faded. I found a few old emails about this topic and both used vinyl tape. One person used 1/2” tape and one 5/8” and I can see the logic for both. Anyone done this more recently or have comments on longevity? How did you h

After Touché was reprinted in 2010, I replaced the cove stripe with 3M automotive tape. Prior to painting, I removed the old stripe with a 3M Stripe Off wheel. It had ragged edges but came off easily with the wheel. Dennis C. Touché 35-1 #83 Mandeville, LA Sent from my iPhone On May 1, 2013
