Rod, going over old emails I see you are looking for an asymmetric sail. I have a new one by North. The “I” is 47.5, “J” is 15.9. The sail is new never been up the mast. Contact me off list for details. Ray shibe..rsh...@optonline.net Sent from my iPad > On Feb 25, 2018, at 08:53, Rod

We have boats that just get put out at anchor for years on end. Also in many – most – parts of Maryland anyone can just drop a mooring anyplace. This is ANOTHER issue, if an old mooring doesn’t have a boat on it and no one knows who owns it, it takes up space but no one trusts it enough to use.

Good advice. 3 sailboats fell over at Gratitude Marina in Rock Hall with the last storm. Damage was extensive on at least 1 of them. Neil Andersen 20691 Jamieson Rd Rock Hall, MD 21661 From: CnC-List on behalf of Chuck Gilchrest

I think Chuck is right. Here in Louisiana we have lots of derelict boats. The local marinas have had to go to sheriff's eviction several times. In Pensacola there are a half dozen anchored in the bayou astern of Touche'. Some are live aboards, some show no activity. Dennis On Tue, Mar 6,

Just a heads up folk in the Northeast. Winter Storm Quinn looks like another wet and windy one. If possible go to the boatyard and check your jack stands , especially if your boat is stored in a dirt or gravel yard. Due to the past storm, the ground under lots of boats has shifted or eroded

I believe the derelict boat issue is far more prevalent in areas where boats don’t get hauled on a seasonal basis. Look closely at the back lots of local boatyards in NE and there’s no shortage of worn out boats that the yard owner would gladly sell on a lien to pay off the yard storage bill.

In Eastern Canada the derelicts are either onshore (sometimes in long-term storage at boat yards, sometimes decaying on the shore in coves in fishing communities) or have sunk out of site. Winter is good for making sure one or the other happens. Ken H. On 6 March 2018 at 08:40, David via

Interesting...in the New England area i have not seen many, if any, derelict boats. Ugly boats, yes. Not very ship-shape boats, yes. Must be the cost of living... Get Outlook for Android From: CnC-List on
