A bit off topic, but related as long as we are talking about clogged Racors.
When I installed a Racor 500 on my boat last year, I added an Across Ocean
Systems (AOS) fuel pressure sensor on the intake line between the Racor and the
tank. It sends the data to my Raymarine chartplotter over
during a filter
change.

I installed a Vetus raw water filter on my Atomic 4. Only challenge was where
to locate the filter itself. Connecting to the Atomic 4 was a snap.

Glen,
I installed a Groco strainer, mounted it low on the forward bulkhead in
the Lazarette under the starboard seat. Just screwed the mounting
fixture to the bulkhead and ran hoses from the thru hull to the strainer
and from the strainer to the raw water pump. //I used two 90-deg bronze
Glen - I had a bronze and glass strainer basket - maybe groco - on my 33-2. I sailed out of Whitby ON and the strainer did its job in shallow, weedy places like Frenchman’s bay and presquile bay. Glad I had it. Dave Sent from my iPhoneOn Apr 8, 2024, at 11:43 AM, Matthew Wolford via CnC-List

I would be interested in the pictures as well. I have parts but haven't
pulled the trigger on creative A4 intake plumbing yet.

When you cut the wires for the pump, turn on the switch. If there is a
short in the wires the breaker will trip. Otherwise it is the pump.

My boat seams to have had one from previous owner. Just remember to drain it
prior to winter as it will freeze excess water in there and crack.

My bilge pump breaker has recently started to disconnect immediately after
being switched on.
I suspect my rule pump has failed and developed a short to ground although it
might be a wire that has either shorted or it might be the water witch float
switch.
My thought is to just replace the pump
and 200. I try to stay out of that
