I am going to take the working jib down to the boat in case we get a honking 25
knot day so I can get a good beat in and it occurred to me that the jib came
from CC when the boat was new in 1973. Does anyone have an older sail than
that?

You win. Mine is a 1980, still feels new, but as you know, we don't use working
jibs much around here.

I'd win this had I kept the storm jib from my prior boat a Vision 6.60 The jib
came from a 50s vintage Lightning (original sail) and other than torn up batten
pockets the sail was great. I still have the mainsail in my basement. I sold
the Vision 6 years ago.

Can't beat it, but can equal it with a sail from when the boat was new in '73.

Working jib= 100% jib.
My jib has not been used since I got the furling gear around 1987 or so. I
have 2 170% genoas that are around 25-28

The 35 MK I was designed for a

I still have the twenty some odd sails identified as 7/71 that came with
Corsair. The drifter and the .5 oz spinnaker still go out to the boat
every year. The Drifter gets used anytime that the wind is less than 6
knots. I think the Staysail might go out next year. Most hang from the
Hello all
My mainsail is the original from 1970 .
It has a C with the maple leaf in it .
I'm guessing that its a bit stretched out and that's why I can't point into the
wind as much as I should be able too .
Also after this years use ( on the last run home) I noticed the maple leaf
