Maybe he has 3 tanks?
I have a thing about multiple tanks and switched gauges myself. I was copilot
on a flight out of New York once where the pilot selected nearly empty tanks
with the valves and nearly full tanks with the switch for the gauges. If I
hadn't caught it we would have had a double
