Teller Farms North Trailhead, on Valmont Road west of 95th Street, in
planted juniper stand along south end of parking lot. Bird often feeds
on ground on east edge of stand on trail/road. Same location as
previous sightings here of a GCSP from Nov. 2010 to
My friend, Terry, saw a large flock (~100+) of cranes flying high overhead
near DIA about noon on Tuesday) She is very familiar with these birds.
She also saw a small flock last Sunday near Ft. Morgan.

A group of 10 Evening Grosbeaks just flew over my home in the Gunbarrel
section of Boulder. It's my first time seeing them in Gunbarrel and
probably only my second or third time seeing them in the Boulder city
limits. People in the area might want to be on the lookout for rogue
flocks
A similar gang was just here ... Coal Creek Canyon. Beautiful colors, striking
birds.

river just west of Alameda and I 25 in Denver

One birder friend of mine in Michigan says they seem to have moved on,

One day outside count week for the FC CBC, a juvenile YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER
is present along the south edge of Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins (west end
of Mountain Avenue) on 21December2011. The bird was actively moving around but
I think is most interested in a small group of Austrian
Threw some seed out at the Red Rocks feeders behind the Trading Post
mid-afternoon. Didn't take long for the Golden-crowned Sparrow to
show up - along with hordes of other species. Think the birds could

Seems like most of the enthusiam for updating maps has cooled but until
recently they were keeping this one up pretty well which seemed to be
much more comprehensive and current than the E-bird/Cornell map.
Around 230pm or a little after, Margie Joy and I saw a juvenile Thayer's Gull
at the Midway Landfill, in southern El Paso County. This is west of I-25, at
exit 119. Earlier in the day, there was Hermit Thrush at the park behind the
Library in the town of Fountain, El Paso County and a Ross's
hi Cobirders. There has been a Pink-sided Junco coming to my thistle
seed feeder yesterday and today. it stays on it for a while
and looks real healthy.
This morning from the kitchen window I looked down on the ground
under the Chokecherry tree . There was a Coopers Hawk
eating a bird
