Hi all
The last few days have not provided many highlights.
Firstly: no sign of any Boreal Owls on any of the last three nights on the

Not a sound! No sight..

Hello birders,
I am a native Oregonian and recent Oregon State University college

Hi everyone,
Jen Turner and I did some area birding starting yesterday afternoon up
until midday today, and although we didn't have any earth-shattering
sightings, I thought I'd mention what we did find.
We headed out to Lower Latham/Beebe Draw yesterday around 6pm, and on our

Also two Dowitchers (possibly Long-billed), a Solitary Sandpiper and an un-IDed
Calidris. Blue and Green-winged Teals also present with

Nancy and I birded Weld County today (Monday), including
Crow Valley, with the hope that the rainy weather would have created a fallout
of warblers. No such luck. But we did have a good day of birding.
Our first stop was the wetland a half mile south of CO14 on

Hi all,
Monday in the Roaring Fork Valley:
Bright, sunny early morning gave way to snow, hail and moderately heavy rain
this afternoon, clearing by this evening.
Looks like quite a lot of fresh snow higher up, above 9,500 feet. Decidedly
chilly down here !
Just as the rain set in, the
While looking for Burrowing Owls at the prairie dog town 3.4 mi east

recognize. It was on a prairie dog mound in the distance, I thought it
might be an owl until I looked more closely with binoculars and camera
zoom. After consulting
