COBirders,
While White-winged Doves have been fairly regular on Colorado Springs' east
side in some neighborhoods, I had one show up every morning this week at my
home feeders on the west side, Pleasant Valley, just south of Rock Ledge
Ranch / Garden of the Gods.

This afternoon I was able to find the Le Conte's Sparrow. It was in the
reeds by the south-west shore of what I believe is Upper Twin Pond. I was
able to get some decent photos.

Cobirders,
I noticed a sparrow yesterday in my backyard but thought it was a song
sparrow and did not really check it out. Rethought that decision today as
it was scratching around under the thistle feeder with regularity. Got out
my scope to check lores more closely. Looks like a tan stripe WT
After being absent, or at least inconspicuous, for at least a week, the evening
grosbeaks (~20) returned to my house in the Horsetooth Lake Estates
neighborhood this morning. They were eating Russian olives.
A few Cassin's finches have been showing up in the past couple weeks as well.

Hi all,
Had a Steller's Jay (Interior West type with white marks) on the ground with White-crowned Sparrows and Juncos eating mixed seed beside my house today at midday. An Eurasian-collared Dove dove in and chased him off after a good while of good looks. This is only the second time I've had
On a drive down to Colorado Springs from Woodland Park, along Hwy 24, my
wife and I first had one golden eagle fly over at Green Mtn Falls.
Then a second flew over above Manitou Springs. Both mature adults.
Is there a movement underway? It is rare to see one along this stretch of
highway, l
Hi cobirders. A flock of about 8 Bushtits fluttered about the
Chokecherry and into the caged Sunflower feeder nearby. I have seen
them do this before.
Several would go around the bottom apparently finding many minute
insects. They come usually before the House Sparrows invade.

A white-winged dove was sitting briefly on the power line above the end of 34th
Court (off Nebo Rd), N Boulder Co, at 10 am this morning. Nice addition to our
house list. It may still be in the neighborhood, but I haven't been able to
relocate it. If it reappears, I'll post it again.
