Hi all,
This morning, at 6:30 a.m., I was awoken to the sound of a Long-billed

Hello,
I've been watching the feeders closely since I've had a Black Headed Grosbeak
the last few days. Looked out Sunday and to my amazement had 3 Evening
Grosbeakes, two males one female. They hung around for about 45 minutes
between perching on the tree and eating at the safflower feeder.

We went to Dixon Reservoir (Pineridge natural area in Fort Collins, which
is finally open) earlyish this morning (8 AM) and spotted the black-chinned

of trees in the northwest corner of the reservoir. He was cooperative and
Early this morning, there was a singing Nashville Warbler along South
Boulder Creek, in the off limits area just upstream of the South Mesa
Trailhead. (This trailhead is along Hwy 170 east of Eldorado Springs.) It
sang for about 3 minutes. I lingered another 20 min but never got views

Hi Cobirders. About 4PM Tuesday a Western Scrub Jay and a male
Brewers Blackbird flew in together to the Chokecherry tree by the
kitchen window.
The Scrub Jay found something to eat on the Chokecherry while the
Brewers Blackbird went to check the seeds at the drum feeder.

Opened nets under cool grey skies this morning. After 2 hours and 7 birds,
it started to sprinkle so we closed up. As we headed out, the drizzle
stopped and it cleared up a bit, but we could see dark grey in the west,
and, given the slowness of bird activity, we decided to call it a day. Our

COBirders,
I've received several reports of fairly high numbers of Lazuli Buntings
moving through Pueblo and Fremont Counties during the last few days. This
morning I had three in my back yard, the first in 40 years.

The Nashville Warbler in Fort Collins (along the bike trail south of

Today, I started at Belmar in the rain and was able to refind the Gray
Flycatcher. Other that a ton of Yellow-rumped Warblers there were a few Orange
Crowned Warblers, Clay-colored Sparrow, Bullock's Oriole, and 3 Wilson's
Phalarope. After the showers ended I stopped at Welchester Tree Park.
My wife spotted a Scarlet Tanager on road just below our house. In a rush I
confirmed this as new ranch bird!!

Hello,
On 5/7 I had (1) Bullock's Oriole on 5/8 I had (2) in my backyard in Denver
County. Upon my third spring of providing fresh Welch's, nectar and orange
halves (patience) I was rewarded. A White-winged Dove visited on 4/27 and
4/28, a Pine Siskin also made a guest appearance recently.
