I found Wednesday that a single Black Phoebe that forages near the
MacKenzie Ave bridge over the Arkansas River has found a probable mate.
Since these two forage in the vegetation that is within about a hundred
feet of this bridge, one can get pretty close views--but do be careful as

Hi all
I just took a call from visiting birders Mike and Lee from California,

Anyone considering visiting in the next few days should be aware that the

A pair of Bald Eagles have established a nest on the northwest shore of
Highland Lake. In the 30+ years I've lived here, this is a first. I figured
they had to have a nest near here since usually the eagles are long gone by
now, or at least more sporadic in their appearances, but these
Thanks to Charles and Nick's suggestions, I have called the Colorado Parks
and Wildlife office in Ft. Collins and they are going to send an officer out
to talk to me. I also called the land owner/tree cutter, and told him about

Hello birders,
This afternoon my uncle had what appears to be Summit County's first

Yesterday afternoon (4/3) there were bluebirds in many areas of Ken Caryl
Valley South Valley Park attempting to forage with the blanket of snow,
and flying here and there. Among the Western Bluebirds and Mountain
Bluebirds at Massey Draw there was one male EASTERN BLUEBIRD offering nice
views.
Hi,
I plan on searching for Greater Sage-Grouse at the Delaney Buttes lek in
Jackson Co. this weekend, maybe tomorrow. I am finding two different sets
of directions online, apparently to two different sites. Can anyone
provide me with directions to the current site?

Hi, Cobirders.
On a whim late this afternoon Jeanne and I decided to see if we could find the
Chukar that was reported on south Marksheffel Road. No luck there so we went
over to Big Johnson and saw a nice selection of birds on the reservoir.
Then we went below the damn on Goldfield

Hi all
Pleased to report that Mike and Lee made their third attempt for Dusky
Grouse at the Black Canyon this evening and along with Richard Stevens et al
managed to see two birds by the roadside along the South Rim.
Well done for persevering!
Good birding all
