I think I had not considered it before because I observed it singing from
tall tree tops. Also I had not realized how much smaller and more slender
than other thrushes.

On Wednesday, June 11,
Thanks to Eric's encouraging posting yesterday (and because neither I nor
any of my uncles had seen it), I finally made the trek to Welchester Tree
Grant Park in Jefferson County this morning. The Blue-winged Warbler was
vocalizing constantly in the usual location at the east end, and was seen

I just found and photographed an adult breeding-plumage TRICOLORED HERON at
Cherry Creek State
Greetings All
Today, Sean Walters and I spent nearly 7 hours birding the semi-flooded and
muddied location known as Tamarack Ranch. It was still impressively birdy, with
most of the birds being in the semi-flooded riparian areas, with few birds in
the shelterbelts. Note that there was
Holcim Wetlands been closed for an undetermined period due to the unusually
high running Arkansas River that was just over 30 feet from the wetland
pond just a day or so ago broke through the bank and dissecting the trail.
