With Janeal Thompson, made a big loop down from Lamar to Springfield w to
Carizzo Canyon w to Cottonwood Canyon nw to Kim w about 10 miles on US160 and
north on CR179 thru Villegreen ne to SR119 n to LaJunta, e to Lamar. Beautiful

I'm from Arkansas and I'll be in Winter Park Dec 27-31 for a bit of skiing.
I'm wondering if there's any decent birding just walking around Winter Park or
Fraser. I see there is a Fraser River Trail that runs from WP to Fraser but I
don't know if that is accessible by foot in the winter.
A sneaky, last-minute rider added to the federal government's 1,603-page
spending bill blocks federal endangered species protections to the Gunnison
sage-grouse and the greater sage-grouse. I know COBIRDS isn't for politics, but
it's not for putting our heads in the sand, either.
