Took a stroll around Sloans lake @ 11 am. A lot of geese, 5 cormorants, 3
American White Pelicans. Some small birds that I have not ID before. Since the
Pelicans are back, early in the morning there are typical more.

This crisp morning I rode my bike to McMurry Natural Area and saw 3 female
Red-breasted Mergansers, one male Brown-headed Cowbird and a Killdeer as
well as the usual morning chorus of Song Sparrows, Red-winged Blackbirds,
Western Meadowlarks etc..

recently photo'd at the lake there, and in consideration of some recent
reports of Greater White-fronted. I did see the hybrid goose, which is

Two Cliff Swallows arrived yesterday (FOS) at the bridge where they've been
nesting for the past decade or more, just south of Blue Mountain Elementary
School in west Longmont (Boulder County). This is pretty typical. Usually,
