I spotted a Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk from the MacKenzie Ave end of the Canon City Riverwalk over the week-end. I got two pics which show it's white lorals and cheeks, whitish chest, whitish underside of tail with otherwise blackish feathering that I have uploaded to my Birds and Nature blog

Hi all, Christmas Bird Count Compilers got an e-mail from National Audubon today, that their website is open to post dates for Christmas Bird Counts.  As usual the dates are from Monday, 14 Dec to Tuesday, 5 January.   So, the weekends, when many counts will be held this year would be Saturday,
