Scoping from the north boat ramp, the birds are swimming around the large
concrete base of the tower at the end of the dam extension. Also saw the
leucistic grebe NE of the tip of the sandspit.
Massive raft - well over a thousand - of commom mergansers just west and south
of the tower, with a
Folks- 32 teams headed out on the 74th Boulder CBC yesterday, spanning
plains, riparian, urban, and foothills habitat in our count circle. Our
preliminary day's total is 110 species, with an additional 2 count-week
birds seen. I am still awaiting several territory reports and hope

I found a single American Dipper in Clear Creek, near Lowell Blvd, Adams
Cnty. this morning at about 9:30 am. It was below the I-76 bridges, east of
Lowell. This is a regular spot for them in the winter,
