Second-to-last-day of the season! Added one new bird species - a Western
Flycatcher - and our first frog species - Michael Kiessig caught a Bullfrog
(not in the net). Here's a breakdown of the 18 new birds caught:

Hi folks,
I've been scheming to head back up to Tamarack Ranch for several weeks now
to do some sound recording, and today I finally had time to do it. I hadn't
been up there in almost 7 years! I also tacked on a fairly short visit to
Red Lion SWA and Julesberg Reservoir before heading back.

Forgot to fix the list. We had a "Krider's" Red-tailed Hawk, not a Rough-legged.

My husband and I camped in Picture Canyon over the weekend. Rose-breasted
Grosbeak male, American Redstart male, Painted Bunting male and female. Not
sure how much these birds range, but I saw a single female at our camp, the
pair about 3/4 mile down the trail near the cliffs with the gated

are closer to the bike path than they are the rec center.

Van Truan said "there were two singing Red-eyed Vireos around the Mineral
Palace Park area, of downtown Pueblo, this morning, plus another singing
warbler, that he hadn't seen". I went to Mineral Palace Park around 8:10am. I
was able to find one of the signing Red-eyed Vireos in the
