I managed to get in a quick lunch at my favorite mid-day break spot, Smith Park
in Boulder. I have been a regular visitor at this spot since 2014 and have now
seen 61 species at this overgrown urban lot. Today, things were really active

some migrants, I went to explore the area around Prospect Ponds NA and

The weather change brought in the next big wave of Wilson's Warblers - a
fine mix of hatch year and adult, males and females. Most in the first 2
hours of the morning, under grey, cool, and windy (at the station, although
not so much at the nets, which are much more sheltered) conditions. As

I've got an adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird making sporadic visits
to the feeder at my house in Las Animas on the far eastern plains. I
just saw it again a minute ago. Birders are welcome to look, provided
they notify me in advance.

following at Chatfield SP this morning. From the Marina Sandspit had 1

I just got a text from Dave Wade about a Blackburnian Warbler at the
Prospect Ponds SE parking lot. He said there were a lot of birds around.
I checked some migrant traps in the eastern part of the county before work
this morning without much luck. I wonder if the river corridors are the
