Sorry for the multiple posts, but NatGeo's depiction of a juvenile Snowy seems
right for this bird, except for the size difference with the bird it's standing
next to. Easily 20% larger than the Snowy it's hanging around with.

I banded a HY Rock Wren today, (photos available), only my second at Clear
Spring Ranch. Other than that - nothing remarkable EXCEPT a Lincoln’s Sparrow
that was banded BIRD #2000 for this season at CSR! That is now more birds this
August/September than in the last 4 years of
A Philadelphia Vireo was banded at the bar Lake banding station this
morning.

I was out with the dogs Friday morning in our neighborhood park (Keewayden
Meadows Park in Boulder) when I saw a large flock of Common Grackle move
through. This was not unusual, since I have seen them in the neighborhood
a few times in the last month or so. They moved through
