Hey, everybody. I hope we've all been enjoying the glorious overcast, yes?
A solid week of it so far, with more to come. Anyhow, here are a few bird
sightings from the past several days.

Quite birdy in the
We were off two more days due to rain..this year we went from too hot
to too wet with little in between. Back out today, and the birds were
active. We caught 44 new, and we also caught 29 birds that had been banded
previously this fall. There appear to be lots of warblers hanging around,
Continues at Terry Lake in Boulder county.

Hey COBirders,
After two days missed for steady rain at Clear Spring Ranch, today was still
wet, but just foggy and misty, and banding resumed. Many Wilson’s and
Orange-crowned Warblers were caught at dawn, and a mix of other migrants. None
rare, many unusual. Then after a lull, another wave
Dean Shoup and I had THREE Buff-breasted Sandpipers that were seen together on
the north side shoreline of what was the inlet canal (water no longer flowing
into the reservoir).

2 American Golden Plover
26 Red-necked Phalarope
103 Pectoral Sandpiper
7 Common Tern

Finally had decent weather this morning and the huge numbers of blackbirds did
not disappoint. I got video of 3 out 4 “departures” to share, and it still
can’t capture how many birds are there. With nice weather over the weekend,
I’d strongly encourage anyone who’s looking for high

and 2 white-breasted nuthatches are eating sunflower seeds and suet,
respectively in my front yard.
