It's been a while since I have made one of these posts, but it looks like
it is finally time to post again. Monday and Tuesday of this week look
like they will include generalized pushes of birds into CO and WY from the
Southwest US. Southeastern CO may see some Gulf migrants from the
Denver Audubon's Master Birder class, 14 of us explored Red Canyon Park, north
of Canon City, and Tunnel Drive, yesterday.We didn't see many birds, but did
see some quality ones.In Red Canyon's pinyon/juniper they included:
* 3-5 Evening Grosbeaks;
* 2 Golden Eagles, dived at by
First one yesterday in Pine Brook Hills, Boulder, CO!

Yesterday I heard my first Broad-tailed in Colorado Springs.

Hello Fellow Birders,
This morning my wife heard, then observed a hen Mallard as it flew through
the narrow space between the Forsythia and Blue Spruce that guard the back gate
of my little townhouse yard near Holly & Arapahoe. The duck wandered around
under the feeders for a few minutes,
Has anyone yet seen a hummingbird?
