(small scattering of aspen). About a quarter of a mlle
from Cub Creek, south of Evergreen. Smaller, nearby ephemeral drainage
about 150’ from my house has some blue spruce and larger aspen.

Dan Stringer is right on! Nip it all in the bud by not posting - when we
decide it's best not to post something, none of the issues we're discussing
will occur.

Hey, guys!
Since we lost Kathy at S Optika, does anyone know of a place in the metro
area that does realignment work on binocs? Looking to donate an old pair of
Bausch & Lomb 8 x 36 to the Birders’ Exchange.
Thanks!

The increase in recent Flam Owl sightings reinforces my feelings that it would
be best not to report some sightings on eBird. Does this look like harassment
to anyone else? I would appreciate the perspective of others.
Thanks!

about the timing of those nests being
removed, or who might be responsible, or if it was done prior to eggs being
laid, but thought that this might be something to keep an eye on in future
years.

In the “wake” of last week’s snow storm I’ve received about 6-7 reports of
Horned Larks seen up in the foothills in the Evergreen area (from Clear Creek
Canyon to Conifer). Big wind!

I’ve been out of town, but received these photos taken by newbie birder, Karen
Strong, from I believe Mar 28, and she said she was about 0.5 mile north of the
Carson Nature Center. Don’t know if anyone else picked up on this bird or not.

Dear All,
I led a group to Harriman Lake yesterday morning, and had two experienced
birders (one from San Francisco and one from New York) “positively” identify a
Fox Sparrow along the trail on the SE side of the large cattail area. I didn’t
see the bird myself.
