I was able to find an American Dipper in the snow this afternoon down
stream from the bike path bridge, east of Lowell Blvd. This is a favored
spot for them in Adams County.

I found an American Dipper in Clear Creek east of Lowell Blvd. at 5:04 pm
today. It was seen downstream of the bike path bridge, about 500 yards e of
Lowell.

I found an American Dipper in Clear Creek at the I-76 bridges this
mourning. This is in Adams Cnty. The bridges are east of Lowell Blvd.

I found a female type Surf Scoter at the former Lowell Ponds State Wildlife
Area, Adams Cnty., this morning a little after 9am. She was on the eastern
most pond, the first from Lowell Blvd. State parks and wildlife has
transfered this area to Adams County management. I don't know

perched long enough for me to see the dark gorget, changing to red

I was able to relocate the Great Egret this afternoon at about 5:15 pm. It
was at the same location as before. It flew north while I was there, so
Clear Creek Valley park is another possible location.

Lowell Blvd. This is Adams County. It was pointed out to me by a birding

Dick Schottler and I saw a male Barrows Goldeneye and a female, probably,
Northern Harrier along the S. Platte river today. The Goldeneye was north
of 64th ave and York st. near the water treatment plant.The Harrier was
south of Hwy 224. Both were seen from the Platte River bike

Lowell Blvd (Adams County). It was downstream from the check dam. I viewed
it from the bike path below the bridge.

I saw two Cattle Egrets at Heron Lake, Adams County, this afternoon. One
had orange on the head and chest, the other didn't. Both had straw colored
bills. This is at the former Lowell Ponds wildlife area, south of I-76,
between Lowell Blvd. and Tennyson St.

I found a Lesser Goldfinch among some American Goldfinches and House
Finches at Lowell
ponds (Adams County) this morning about 8:05. It brings my list at Lowell
ponds to 127. I got the best look at the humming bird that I've had since
the first sighting on June 20 this year. It is

I was able to relocate the Black Phoebe today at about 9:55 at the sewage
treatment plant along the S. Platte in Adams County. It was just at the
bridge that crosses the Platte there. I had good views as it was
flycatching and returning to the same location. Black with white belly

While scouting for the Denver, Urban, Christmas Count I found a black
Phoebe on the S. Platte River, at the sewage treatment plant, near 64th and
York. Also a Black-Crowned Night Heron nearby. Four Wild Turkeys were along
the Platte, south of 58th and York.

I found an American Dipper in Clear Creek, Adams County, at about 4:10 pm.
It was east of Lowell Blvd. at 55th Pl. below the I-76 bridges. This is a
favorite spot. First sighting for this season and first since Dec. 30, 2015.
