We spotted a Catbird on the CBC last year in a count area on the north side
of Boulder - in shrubs, can't recall what kind. It was a surprise for us

As far as I can tell,
the discussions on this list have been talking about repeated sightings of
*one* of each species. So I am curious if anyone has seen larger numbers
of either goose, or if these sightings got magnified in the re-telling.

thanks for this analysis. One lesson I have absorbed from you in the past
is that it's not the surface-level winds that are important, but the wind
up a bit higher where the birds are migrating. Why do you focus on surface
winds this time?

Of note in the shrubbery: a pair of American goldfinches, yellow-rumped
and yellow warblers, white-crowned sparrow.
We were at Heil Ranch on Monday where we heard and saw wild turkeys but
surprisingly few other birds.
