Between 10:30 and 11:30 this morning I saw a flock of 7 White-faced Ibis at Cherry Creek State Park, first at the Cottonwood Pond (across from model airplane field), then at the sandspit, then again at Cottonwood Pond. The flock seems a bit skittish and is easily flushed by passing bikers and

Cobirders, I viewed a Ross's Goose today from the Bird-viewing Platform on the west side of Cherry Creek Reservoir. The bird was with a large group of Ring-billed Gulls, but after the flock was spooked by two Red-tail Hawks, the Ross's moved further out into the lake and remained by himself.

I observed the Red-necked Grebe at about 9:30 a.m. at the Cottonwood Creek pond, across from the model airplane field at CCSP. He was conveniently located at the near shore, not too far from the parking pullout. The bird appears to have suffered an injury. There is a flap of skin and feathers

Fall migration has arrived in my backyard ! Today I had a White-throated Sparrow (tan morph), a White-crowned Sparrow (Mtn.), over 20 Chipping Sparrows, and one Pink-sided Junco, all seeming to enjoy my rather weedy garden. I feel vindicated for not weeding. Good Birding, Lois Levinson 1
