This raining morning, I stopped by both Bear Creek Lake Park. Before the rains
started, I found a male Tennessee Warbler and the Blackpoll Warbler from
yesterday. I returned to the park later in the day after the rain stopped and
found the Tennessee again along with yesterday's female
This afternoon, I decided to take a drive through Bear Creek Lake Park. I was
able to locate a Green-tailed Towhee which I'm guessing is the same bird I had
back on November 10th. There was one seen on the Christmas Bird Count. This
bird was seen pretty close to the boat launch area which was
Today, I went out in the snow to look for the Harris's Sparrows at Bear Creek
Lake Park. Both the immature and adult were up the road from the Boat Launch
area with Dark-eyed Juncos and American Tree Sparrows. Both birds can be found
in the rare and uncommon gallery below.
