Boyd Lake: Near the north end of the Park we saw a Nothern Goshawk.  It lit on a tree branch facing us about 20 feet away and sat there for about 5 minutes.  No mistaken a Goshawk - very long red tail,  verti cal bars on breast , hawk sized, and bared tail. Also later on the North end

We visited Boyd Lake State Park on Sept. l and did not see much migration activitie there so far. however today gave a lttle increase in some areas - Red-winged Blackbirds and Grackles are forming in large flocks. I showed one of the Park staff an Osprey flying - she said she had seen two
