Mature adult -- Harlan's Hawk. Dark, chocolate brown, faint white striping on
upper breast. Undertail pale gray, slightly barred. Upper tail, white speckling

Around 11:30 this morning I spotted a Harlan's Hawk northwest of the
round-a-bout at C470 and Belleview (have to take the Quincy Exit off
C470 to get to the round-a-bout). This is the first time this winter
I have seen a Harlan's in this area, although in previous winters
there has been a
About 11:00 A.M. I observed a bird which I believe to be either a
Harlan's or an intergrade between a Harlan's and Western Red-tail hawk.
The location was on CR 93 north out of Morrison just below Red Rocks
Exit No. 2.
