The pair of Oldsquaw reported earlier by Bryan Arnold were still present
yesterday afternoon. We saw them in the south-middle part of the lake,
easily viewed by walking halfway across the berm on the C470 end of the
res. We thought they were two females at first, as the male is quite a
2 on the NE quadrant diving actively. Nice assortment of other ducks - ruddy,
ring necks, redheads, hooded merganser, common goldeneye, pied-billed grebes,
and coots, as well as a lone mallard.

Hi all,
This morning around 10:15 a small group of Tuesday Birders saw 2 long-tailed
ducks on South Platte Reservoir in Jefferson County. They appeared to be near
the center of the reservoir and were diving regularly. Shortly after noon a

morning, approximately the same area the loons like to hang
The two Long-tailed Ducks were still present Friday afternoon on the western
end of South Platte Reservoir (rumored by some to be part of Jefferson County?).

Hannah Espy and I headed down to Denver to see the Long-tailed Ducks
