A Red-throated Loon was seen on Cobb Lake this afternoon. This private
reservoir on Co Rd 56 is viewable only from the road or the SWA parking
lot. The loon was well concealed in a group of Western Grebes a few hundred
meters from the road. It was difficult to see well but when it wasn't
Cole Wild and I scanned the Lake from the Northeast side for about half an hour
at 5, but we're not able to relocate the bird.

To post to this group,
I was able to view this loon this morning in ideal viewing conditions, and
determined that it was a Pacific Loon. Sorry for the false alarm.
