We've had 1-2 Steller's jays in our yard daily since Nov. 1. Today there
were 3, possibly more, mobbing the resident Cooper's Hawk, along with
blue jays and black-billed magpies. We're about 5 miles east of their
usual haunts in the foothills. This is the first time we've
