Flock of at least 10 Yellow-Rumped Warblers seen feeding in trees & bushes,
at 1pm on 4/17, on Eaglewatch Lake, just east of restrooms and South Platte
Reservoir parking lot (Arapahoe County).
Also had several Mountain Bluebirds and a few more YRWA along the South
Platte trail just south of

Yesterday morning, Monday, Apr. 17, I was out at Greenlee Preserve, Boulder
County, and saw two well-marked Yellow-rumped Warblers with yellow throats.
But they weren't Audubon's warblers. They were hybrids, known to eBird as
"Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle x Audubon's)." The
CO Birders,
Per prior comments re Yellow-rumped Warblers, I was interested to note one
visiting my bird bath this AM.
This is the neighborhood just south of Bear Creek Regional Park.

Today I did car birding in our relatively awful winter weather (not as bad
as other front range cities but only got to 14 or so today) and found 5
Yellow-rumped Warblers foraging on the grounds of The Abbey. Though a
limited number of Yellow-rumped Warblers often overwinter I felt badly for

Canon City area. All I saw were Audubons. And some were singing.

Colorado Birds
While birding and biking to work today I heard and saw 3 Yellow-rumped
Warblers,Myrtles race. Also there were still 4 Common Redpolls present at
the Museum.
The Bohemian Waxwings are still around and had them throughout old town
Fort Collins (200+ individuals) while we were biking a couple

couple of Audubon's near the South Platte River at McKay Road. They're
located about 100 feet west (up river) from the bridge.
