A Yellow-throated Vireo is at Chatfield SP nesting with a Plumbeous
Vireo. It was found by a Wild Birds Unlimited/RMBO field trip. Go
south from Kingfisher Bridge on the west side of the Plattte River for
5 minutes until you come to a scraped-off bare area on the right.
Continue for 50 yards where
A month or two ago, when one was reported, we learned never to take a
1-yr old birding in a swamp. After Deb took her back to the car, I
slogged through the muck for over an hour, and failed to find the
bird.
Today, chasing the previously reported Yellow-billed Cuckoo, I
stumbled upon a Yellow-th
I also observed the Yellow-throated Vireo at Chatfield SP around 11:30
a.m. The bird was east of Plum Creek and just SE of the little pond
previously described. Earlier in the morning I saw a flock of male
Yellow-rumped Warblers (Audubon & Myrtle) pass by on the west side of
the little po

The YT Vireo first found by Kellner is still at Chatfield as of 11 am today in
the same area previously described. Dick Prickett was able to find it and
point it out to me.

The Yellow-throated Vireo first found by Joey Kellner was seen again at 9:36
a.m. The bird was on the east side of the creek from the Plum Creek delta
parking lot. Walk over the creek on the footbridge SE of the parking lot
and then walk down stream to the last stand of tall trees
A Yellow-throated Vireo was found at Chatfield SP this morning by Joey
Kellner at the Plum Creek delta in trees by the lake with a small
flock of yellow-rumped warblers. It sang once.
